Mixed media artist Elizabeth Caparaz currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Her practice explores the modern zeitgeist through detailed portraits and fanciful florals. In her recent work, she explores the representation of the female identity while utilizing her modern folk painting style. Her unique designs have earned praise by the Los Angeles Times with her illustrated Artist's Notebooks featured in 2018. In 2020, her work was chosen by 11:11 A Creative Collective to be painted on a utility box as part of their public art Streetbox program. In addition, her artwork has been exhibited in galleries including the Mystic Museum, Ten Women Gallery and Los Angeles County Store. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Montclair State University.
