After being introduced to ceramics in high school, I took many years off until my wife enrolled me in a wheel throwing class in 2016. I immediately fell back in love with pottery and have been creating ever since. I enjoy hand building as I feel it gives me the most freedom to create. I tend to specialize in small pieces - miniature versions of normal items or just things on a smaller scale. One of my favorite things to build is mini houses - sometimes I make little midcentury dwellings, but I also enjoy building small, whimsical fairy houses.

Recently, I've been inspired by the trees around Frogtown, and have been pressing fig and sycamore leaves to make dishes and platters. I love to transform these fleeting natural materials into more permanent pieces.
