Self Portrait by Anette

"I have been knitting and crocheting since I was little - mostly scarfs and beanies. With medical supplies short in supply, I thought why not make my own! I’ve been using a polyester chunky yarn (typically used for soft blankets) to knit these masks. I like using this yarn because it’s super comfortable and feels dense for something that’s knitted. I have made a few masks for myself, my family, and a few friends. I want my self portrait to show that knitting is another great way to create your own face covering - especially for anyone that has a ball of yarn and knitting needles lying around the house."
