About the Event
Artists of all ages, join artist and educator Kait Walsh as we kick off the virtual Frogtown Art Walk with a celebration of sharing our creativity. Using household items, each artist, family and friend will complete a variety of postcards to be sent to Kingsley Manor in Hollywood, the place Lewis MacAdams called home for several years.
Whether you are feeling upbeat, optimistic, low or helpless this creative space is sure to bring a sense of warmth that will not only spread to your art but also to the recipients of each piece.
About Kingsley Manor: A retirement community in Hollywood, CA that is home to many artists and creative people. Lewis MacAdams spent some of his last years in residence there. The residents of this community would greatly appreciate your beautiful greetings. We will personally hand-deliver them to Kingsley Manor.
About Lewis MacAdams: Poet, activist, educator and founder of Friends of the Los Angeles River passed away in April 2020 from complications of Parkinson's Disease.Â
We are great admirers of Lewis and he loved the Frogtown Artwalk! Learn more: www.folar.org
