The second installment of our "LA Icon Series" will feature John Densmore, drummer of the legendary band THE DOORS.
He and long-time friend and our host Rex Weiner go on a journey along the LA River in Frogtown to meet and interview some of the creative community that live and work in the neighborhood. Rex will talk with John about his latest book "The Seekers: Meetings With Remarkable Musicians (and Other Artists)" during their trip through Frogtown that will culminate in a Q & A live on Zoom. You can expect a great time as well as some surprises from these two--so please join us!
There will be a drawing during this Zoom event to win a signed copy of John's book The Seekers: Meetings With Remarkable Musicians (& Other Artists).
Funds raised will go to support our free and low cost programs and to produce the 2022 Frogtown Artwalk.
About Our Host: Rex Weiner, investiagtive journalist, author, and reporter on contemporary culture. Rex is also a board member for Beyond Baroque: Literary Arts Center and a Frogtown resident.
While this is a free event, there is a suggested donation so we can continue to provide free or low-cost programming such as this.
