The Elysian Valley Arts Collective is proud to present Reading The River: The Poetry of Lewis MacAdams (1944 – 2020) in partnership with Los Angeles' renowned literary center Beyond Baroque as part of our bi-annual Frogtown (Virtual) ArtWalk. Join us in celebrating the poetry of MacAdams, who launched the revitalization of the Los Angeles River as a founder of Friends of the Los Angeles River.
This event features live and pre-recorded readings of MacAdams' poetry by friends, family and FoLAR colleagues including many noted poets such as Aram Saroyan, Mike Sonksen and some surprise guests. “Reading the River” will be moderated live from the banks of the Los Angeles River by journalist Rex Weiner, a Beyond Baroque board member and Frogtown resident.
