Frogtown Gallery Spotlight - Plan:d Gallery

On March 5, 2020 - just a few weeks before the Covid-19 Pandemic Stay at Home order in Los Angeles started, Plan:d Gallery in Frogtown hosted a fundraising event benefitting the Pablove Foundation.

The gallery exhibit showcased photographs by the 2019 Graduates of Pablove Shutterbugs Los Angeles. Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, powerful guest speakers and of course, a captivating photography exhibit.

Pablove Shutterbugs, the signature arts education program of the Pablove Foundation teaches children and teens living with cancer to develop their creative voice through photography. 100% of proceeds from print sales at the photography exhibits directly fund their Powered by Pablove childhood cancer research grants, fueling the most innovative scientists in pursuit of cures.

Partners and sponsors of the fundraiser included The National Endowment For the Arts, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Department of Cultural Affairs, The Huntington, Velo Pasadena and The Village Bakery & Cafe.

The free family-friendly event was hosted by Elysian Valley Arts Collective Board Members Edwina and David Dedlow, Secretary and Board Member, respectively, at their Plan:d Gallery based in Frogtown. The Dedlow's daughter, Alexa Dedlow, a content producer for Apple Music serves on the Board of Directors for The Pablove Foundation. The Gallery opened in September 2018 and their inaugural show was a flagship exhibit at the 2018 Frogtown Artwalk. Since then, the gallery has held several successful art exhibits and art-related events.

We look forward to more exhibits and events at Plan:d Gallery in the future and we can't wait to see what Edwina and David Dedlow will create for The 2021 Frogtown Artwalk.
